The Login/SignUp Page

If you are a new user, you can SignUp; or Login if you already have an account. You can hear Paru talk or continue your SignUp or Login.

Signing Up

To sign up, enter your email and hit continue. PicKey will send a verification code to your email. Check your inbox and enter the code to confirm.

During verification, read PicKey’s License Agreement and start creating your Master Key.

The 3D Master Key – Your Master Password on PicKey

Your Master Key is your master password on PicKey and you will use it to log-in to PicKey. Let us create your first Master Key as your SignUp.

It is made using two secrets :

1. A favorite photo (Vision Secret) :

A picture of your favorite place, a cherished object; or your face. As an example, we’re turning our lovely dino into our Vision Secret. He may be right next to us all the time, but nobody will ever know that he can be part of a master password. He would just hide in plain sight 🫥

Crafting the Perfect Vision Secret: When selecting your Vision Secret, think of moments or objects that resonate with you emotionally. It could be a cherished childhood toy, a memorable vacation spot, or even a favorite book on your shelf. The key is to choose something that not only holds significance but is also easily accessible to you. Even a public photo from your social media can serve as a Vision Secret. The beauty of PicKey is its ability to transform everyday visuals into powerful security tools. So, let your imagination run wild, and pick a Vision Secret that’s both personal and practical.

2. A 3D character (Keymoji Secret) : A private 3D character that is often animated in Augmented Reality or 3D Views and may have accompanying sound effects. You can chose from thousands of options. Select the one that goes with the vision secret and is likeable to you. We chose the honey-bee to be our Keymoji secret.

The Honey Bee hovering on our cute dino completes our secret Master Key. PicKey recognizes the photo despite minor changes and checks your 3D Keymoji selection during login. Just remember this and PicKey will manage all of your passwords for you.

Pro Tip : PicKey verifies Vision and Keymoji secrets independently. You only need to select the picture and 3D Keymoji and an exact placement of the 3D Keymoji on the Vision Secret is not required.

The Vision Secret is saved on your device for later use. If you really want to be secretive, you can delete that picture and take a new picture when you want to login later.

Infinite Possibilities

The possibilities for your Master Key are boundless. Choose something you frequently encounter, even a public photo from your social media. It’ll always be at your fingertips, and the best part? No one would ever guess it’s your key to digital security.

That’s it. You’ve created your first Master Key, and logged-in into PicKey with it.

Pro Tip : You can make multiple Master Keys to login. They also act as self-recovery options. If one key is unavailable, use another to access your account.

I’ve Signed-Up, now What?

Remember the photo (Vision Secret) and 3D character (Keymoji Secret), and let PicKey handle your passwords. Use visual Master Keys for easy recall. Photos taken with your camera are saved in your phone’s library.

After you sign-up, you can now:

1. Turn On Autofill : On both iOS and Android, PicKey offers autofill for all supported apps. Ensure passwords are stored in PicKey for this feature to work. Related Blog Post.
2. Create or Import Passwords : If you are a new user, start by creating your own passwords in PicKey so that PicKey can manage and autofill them everywhere.
   Create a new password by :
   Home Screen > Passwords > (+) Icon
   If using another password manager (e.g., Google Chrome, LastPass, 1Password and Dashlane), import those passwords to PicKey. Forget other service’s Master Passwords; PicKey’s visual 3D Master Key is like recalling a picture.
   
   To import passwords, go to :
   Settings > Advanced > Import/Export > Import

Logging In as a Returning User

So you’ve already sign-ed up to PicKey and would like to Log back in ?

Logging into PicKey is as easy as remembering a picture. Just remember that favorite picture and the 3D character you created your Master Key with.

On the login screen, enter your email, and press “Continue”.

Now Recollect Your favorite Picture (Vision Secret)

Now, snap a photo of the place or item you used for your Master Key, or browse for the initial image. For instance, we take another shot of our beloved dino from a new angle and in different lighting.

Pro Tip : When you create a Master Key during Sign-Up, the Vision Secret photo is saved in your phone’s media library. You can reuse the same photo during login; or click a new picture of the same place, thing or your face that you made your Master Key’s Vision Secret with.

Recollect the 3D Character (Keymoji Secret)

Select the same 3D character that you had selected earlier. The same honey bee hovers on our dear dino again to log-us-in. It is as easy as remembering a picture and more secure than any Master Password used today.

Do I need exactly the same picture (Vision Secret) ?

PicKey employs the concept of photographic memory to authenticate your Vision Secret. Even with slight variations, such as two dino photos taken under different lighting or angles, PicKey identifies the Vision Secret, mirroring human-like recognition.

Use the image slider to compare the two images – the one on the left was used during SignUp and the one on the right was used during Login.

Extreme changes in your Vision Secret might cause login verification to fail. 
If a real person can't identify the picture, PicKey's AI might also struggle.
